We have many local parks for picnicking and hiking. State and county parks offer many types of recreation such as camping, biking, boating, and hunting. Take a canoe down the Susquehanna River and watch the birds and wildlife along the way. Whatever your choice of activity, Bradford County has it.

Aboretum, Morse Park

Located on Route 14 in the Borough of Canton. Open dawn to dusk. Varieties of trees and shrubs are present at the park.

Alparon Community Park

Alparon Park is home of the Troy Fair. It is a great place for camping.  There are on site tennis and basketball courts, wireless internet, and winter storage.  It is available for rental for auctions, events, horse shows, company or family picnics, RV rallies, and more.

Located on Old Gun Club Road in Asylum Township. Open dawn until dusk. Boat access, parking space, picnic areas are available.

Austin Snyder Elementary School

H. Austin Snyder Elementary School is the creation of its namesake, the beloved former Superintendent, H. Austin Snyder, who served Sayre Area School District from 1946 to 1976. The building was constructed in 1973 to consolidate the numerous small elementary schools within Sayre and to provide the most flexible classroom environment for implementing a variety of effective instructional techniques used at the time and those yet to be discovered. H. Austin Snyder is a flexible or open space school with grade level pods arranged around a central library/media center.

Eldridge Park

Eldridge Park, located in Elmira, New York, was a famous amusement park around the turn of the 20th century. Covering roughly 15 acres, it was dedicated to the memory of a local physician and was in common usage late into the 20th century.
